As President of the Interact Club at Perry Meridian High School, I wanted to bring Memory Care Connections to our school because service is often seen as something one-sided. However, I believe Memory Care Connections is a great example of how service can positively impact the lives of both sides. The members can build genuine connections with the residents while also learning from their stories, experiences, and wisdom. I also love how something as simple as writing a letter can help the residents feel heard and make their day just a little bit brighter.
